Leather carving is a traditional craftsmanship technique where designs are incised, stamped, and tooled onto leather surfaces. Our artisans use specialized tools like swivel knives, stamps, and bevelers to create intricate patterns, from floral motifs to geometric shapes, adding a unique, textured dimension to the leather items.

Absolutely! We encourage creativity. You can send us your own sketches, images, or detailed descriptions of the design you envision. Our team of skilled leather carvers will review your submission and work with you to bring your ideas to life. Just make sure your design complies with our design guidelines, avoiding any copyrighted or offensive material.
3. How do I submit my custom leather carving design?
You can submit your design via uploading button on the product page and send us an email to info@buddycopies.com with a clear description of the design, and your order No.(if you have placed an order) and attach any visual references in high-resolution formats like JPEG or PNG. If you're still in the ordering process, there's also a dedicated design upload section on our product customization page.
4. What types of leather products can be carved?
Most of our leather products are suitable candidates for carving. This includes leather wallets, belts, bags, and even some leather accessories like keychains. However, the complexity of the carving may vary depending on the size and shape of the item. Our customer support can guide you on the best options for your specific design.
5. How long does it take to complete a leather carving project?
The time frame depends on the intricacy of the design. Simple, single designs can be completed within 40 business days, while highly elaborate, multi-pattern projects may take up to 50 business days. This is in addition to the normal production and shipping times for your order. We'll always give you an estimated completion date when you place your order.
6. Will the leather carving affect the durability of the product?
Not negatively. In fact, when done properly, leather carving can enhance the product's durability. The carving process compresses and strengthens the leather fibers around the carved areas. However, like any leather product, proper care, such as regular conditioning and avoiding overexposure to water, will keep your carved item in great shape for years.
7. Can I have colors added to my leather carved item?
Yes, you can. After the carving process, we can apply leather dyes or stains to add color to your item. You can choose from our standard color palette, or if you have a specific color match in mind, send us a sample or a color code, and we'll do our best to achieve it.
8. How much does leather carving cost?
The cost is determined by the complexity of the design, the size of the area to be carved, and the type of leather product. Simple, small-scale carvings might start at a very affordable price, while large, intricate designs could be more costly. During the customization phase of your order, you'll see a price breakdown based on your chosen design elements.
9. What if I'm not satisfied with the leather carving result?
If you're not satisfied, please contact our customer support immediately. We'll review the situation. If the issue was due to our error, like a misinterpretation of your design, we'll redo the carving at no cost or offer a full refund, depending on the severity of the problem. If it's a matter of personal preference, we'll try to find a way to make adjustments.
